Our Manifesto

We believe honest tracking advice starts with honest boundaries.

What We Believe

Real Tests Over Spec Sheets

A GPS tracker earns its place on this site only if we would trust it with our own vehicles, our own pets, or our own parents. We test in real conditions — rain, mountains, parking garages, and escape-artist dogs.

Transparency Matters More Than Convenience

We earn a commission when you buy through our links, but that never changes what we recommend or what we warn you to avoid. If a device fails our tests, we say so. If a subscription hides unfair terms, we expose them.

Privacy Is Not an Afterthought

We openly discuss the ethics of tracking. We will never recommend a device that invades privacy without clear consent, no matter how well it performs technically.

Hidden Costs Are Still Costs

We show you the full 3-year cost of ownership, including subscription fees. A cheap tracker with an expensive monthly plan is not a cheap tracker.

We Can Be Wrong

When we make a mistake, we correct it publicly. When a product changes, we update our review. Trust is built on honesty, not perfection.

What We Reject

Paid Reviews

We do not accept payment for reviews. We do not allow manufacturers to review our content before publication. If a product is sent to us for free, we disclose it.

Hype Without Evidence

Words like "game-changer" and "revolutionary" are meaningless without data. We show our testing, our failures, and our doubts.

Covert Tracking Without Consent

We do not recommend using trackers to secretly monitor adults without their knowledge. That is not safety. That is control.

Our Business Model

How We Keep the Lights On

Track & React is a participant in affiliate programs. When you click a link on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This does not affect the price you pay.

We have turned down thousands of dollars in commissions by being honest about what not to buy. If a product isn't good enough, we say so — and we don't link to it.

Our editorial team does not know which links generate the most revenue when making recommendations. Recommendations are made independently, based solely on our testing and judgment.

We also sometimes receive free review units from manufacturers. This is disclosed in the relevant review. It does not influence our score. We have returned products that failed our tests, even when manufacturers asked us to keep them.

If you ever believe our business model has compromised our honesty, email us. We will investigate and correct the record.
