Our Manifesto
If you're going to trust what we say about GPS trackers, you should know exactly who we are, how we make money, and what we refuse to do. This page lays all of that out — no fine print, no PR language.
If You Remember One Thing
Every product we recommend was bought with our own money and tested in a real vehicle for at least 90 days. We do not accept free products, sponsored reviews, or payments for coverage. If a product isn't worth your money, we say so — even if it pays well.
We Believe
1. A $15 tracker that works is better than a $150 one that doesn't. Price is not a proxy for quality. We've proven this repeatedly.
2. "Enterprise-grade" is usually just "overpriced." Most small fleets — 3 to 50 vehicles — don't need the same software a 500-truck logistics company does.
3. Monthly subscriptions are the enemy. A tracker that costs $40 upfront and $0/month forever beats a tracker that costs $20 upfront and $15/month for the next decade.
4. The right device for your fleet depends on your fleet. Not on what a SaaS salesperson wants you to buy. Not on what's trending on LinkedIn.
5. Honest reviews are worth more than affiliate commissions. If we ever have to choose between the two, we choose honest reviews. Every time.
We Don't
1. Accept free products. Every device we review is paid for with our own money, at retail or wholesale. No exceptions.
2. Let affiliate commissions influence our scores. The score is set before any link is created. Some of our highest-scoring products pay us nothing.
3. Recommend anything we haven't tested. Not a single review on this site is based on a spec sheet or a manufacturer press release.
4. Publish sponsored content. There is no price at which we will write something we don't believe.
5. Hide our mistakes. When we get something wrong — and we will — we say so publicly and update the review with what we learned.
About Our Links (The Full Disclosure)
We earn a commission when you buy through some of the links on this site. This doesn't cost you anything extra — the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale, and you pay the same price you would have paid anyway.
Here's what this means in practice:
It doesn't change our recommendations. If a product isn't worth recommending, we don't link to it — even if it pays 20% commission. Some of our favorite products pay us nothing at all because the manufacturer doesn't have an affiliate program. We still recommend them.
It funds the testing. The commissions pay for the devices we buy, the vehicles we install them in, and the time it takes to run a 90-day test on every product. Without them, this site wouldn't exist.
It's not our only income. We're not dependent on any single product or brand. This lets us be honest about the ones that aren't worth your money.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Every single device we've reviewed on this site has been bought with our own money — sometimes at retail, sometimes at wholesale through DHgate, sometimes even used. We don't accept manufacturer samples under any circumstances.
Two ways: (1) affiliate commissions when readers buy through our links, and (2) direct consulting for small fleets that want help choosing a system. We don't sell ads, sponsored posts, or "featured" placements. Ever.
We update the review, explain what we got wrong, and — if the product is no longer worth recommending — we remove the link. We've done this four times in the last three years. Each time, we published an explanation.
Absolutely. We get our best ideas from readers. If there's a tracker you're curious about, get in touch. We can't promise to review everything, but we read every suggestion.
Yes — we don't track individual readers, and we don't sell any data to third parties. The only analytics we use are for aggregate traffic (page views, referrers), and they're anonymized. Full details in our privacy policy (linked in the footer).
